Police ask for help with Smyrna homicide investigation

The Cobb County police are seeking the help of the public to assist them in solving a homicide that occurred in Smyrna on July 17.
After receiving reports of a shooting at the Highlands of West Village, near Atlanta Road and I-285, Police officers responded to the call around 11:15 p.m. and found Jason Escoffrey, 21, of Smyrna shot multiple times near the neighborhood’s swimming pool.
Escoffrey was transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he died as a result of his injuries.
