Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former mayor of Atlanta and a former White House adviser, will join President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign as a senior adviser, according to reports. Bottoms also posted a link to an Ebony magazine article on X, in which she discusses her new role. She currently serves the Biden administration as a member of the President’s Export Council, a position she took last summer after her tenure as director of the White House Office of Public Engagement, from which she stepped down in early 2023.
Additionally, Bottoms is the vice chair of civic engagement and voter protection for the Democratic National Committee and, according to her website, a political commentator for CNN. Bottoms served as Atlanta’s 60th mayor from 2018 to 2022, following eight years on the Atlanta City Council.
