The reward for tips on a teen’s killing just went up as police search for witnesses and are asking those with information to come forward. Police are seeking information on the death of a Marietta teenager, Grayson Green, who was shot to death during a large party earlier this year.
Marietta police have been investigating the death of Green since May 21 after the 17-year-old was shot and killed in the parking lot at the Walton Village apartments in the 1600 block of Roberta Drive.
An initial reward of $2,000 was offered by Crime Stoppers of Atlanta and was matched by Walton Village and Walton Communities, the complex’s property management company. The three have collaborated to raise the reward money to $10,000.
Police say a large group of teens and young adults left an Airbnb home and were at the apartment complex for an unsanctioned party when gunshots rang out. Surveillance footage released by the Police shows the crowd of about 20 people fleeing the area as officers arrived to find Green lying on the pavement. Police said Green had been shot in the chest.
Tipsters are urged to call the Marietta police tip line at 770- 794- 6990. Those wanting to remain anonymous are also eligible for the $10,000 reward. Anonymous tipsters can contact Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477, texting info to 274637, or visiting the Crime Stoppers website.
