Lawrenceville man charged with rape in Cobb

A Lawrenceville man, Benjamin Hanson, has been charged with raping a woman in a home in East Cobb. 

According to an arrest warrant by the Cobb County Police Department, Hanson, 37, is accused of raping the woman on May 6, 2022.

According to jail records, Hanson was arrested on Aug. 15 and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. 

Hanson remains in jail without bond.
