Cobb County Water System Reports 120 Gallon Sewage Overflow

The number of sewage overflows for Cobb County Water System continues to grow as another overflow incident which resulted in wastewater discharge into a local waterway was reported. 

 120 gallon wastewater sewer overflow occurred on Feb. 19 at 1400 Marietta Country Club Drive in Kennesaw, and discharged into Noonday Creek.

While performing maintenance in the area, the crew found sewage seeping from a manhole with its lid secure. Sewage left a seven-foot by 20-foot trail leading down to light gray water along the creek bank in the waterway. After using a jet machine to clear the blockage from the main line, the crew spread lime around the spill area.
