Jimesha Jones, a 28-year-old Atlanta woman, is accused of a disturbing incident in the Cumberland area of Cobb County.
Per her arrest warrant from the Cobb Police Department, Jones allegedly ran over a man with her 2016 Dodge Journey, at a high rate of speed, following an argument on Feb. 4, around 3 a.m. The incident took place at 2065 Powers Ferry Road, near the intersection of Powers Ferry Road and I-285.
Jones and the victim had recently returned from consuming alcohol at a restaurant. The acceleration of Jones’ vehicle led to it striking another vehicle before coming to a stop. The victim, critically injured, was transported to Kennestone Hospital.
Jones was taken into custody on Feb. 4 and faces charges of aggravated assault and intent to murder. Following her arrest, she was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and later released on a $25,000 bond.
