Your Rights at the Polls
Share
You have rights at the polls that are protected under Federal Law:
- Freedom from Discrimination: You have the right to vote without being discriminated against based on race, national origin, or disability.
- Freedom from Intimidation: You have the right to vote without facing any form of intimidation or coercion.
- Assistance with Voting: If you need assistance to vote because of a disability or difficulty reading the ballot, you may choose someone to help you. The person you select to assist you cannot be an agent or representative of your employer or union.
These rights help protect your ability to vote independently and safely. If you encounter any issues at the polls, report them to a poll worker or contact an election protection hotline.
