Woodstock man indicted for armed robbery at KSU

A Cobb Grand Jury has indicted Jalyn McGill, 21, for an armed robbery that occurred on Kennesaw State University’s main campus on December 11, 2021.
McGill, of Woodstock, is accused of robbing four people in the Austin Residence Complex at KSU. Property stolen included $1,000 of electronics including a Playstation 5 and Apple iPad.
According to the warrant for his arrest, McGill is allegedly one of two males who committed the robbery, during which he used a black handgun in the crime.
Before the robbery occurred, McGill and his alleged accomplice were caught on camera. McGill was arrested a few months after the robbery in a different jurisdiction,McGill was indicted on four counts each of armed robbery, home invasion and aggravated assault, all felonies. He is also charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
McGill has been held at the Cobb Adult Detention Center and has been denied bond.
