Women Arrested for Fight in Cobb Superior Court Restroom 

In a bizarre incident, two women got into a restroom fistfight outside of the courtroom of a Cobb County Superior Court. Shawnta Denise Nolan and Ayanna Maia Reid were both arrested and taken into custody.

Nolan, 41, of Austell, and Reid, 40, of Douglasville, were accused of fighting in a large stall of the women’s restroom after a verbal altercation in the lobby area of the fifth floor. Assistant District Attorney Dallas Cox responded to the fight and separated Nolan and Reid.

According to arrest warrants from the Cobb County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred on Feb. 16 between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Both women sustained minor injuries, according to the warrants. They were arrested and charged with misdemeanor fighting in a public place/affray.

Nolan and Reid were booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records. Both women were released on a $1,000 bond each.
