Whitney Sanders named Miss. North Georgia State Fair 2021

Residents of Cobb County and neighboring communities all know that the start of fall signals the start of the North Georgia State Fair. Opening day for the annual fair kicked off on Sept. 23 with fair attendees who were first in line enjoying the various rides, fair food selections, and the Annual Pageant which included over 50 young ladies vying for various titles during the evening event.
After donning their finest dress and their winning smile, seven new queens were selected by this year’s pageant judges. Along with their title sash, all winners received a tiara, flowers and passes to the fair, which continues through Oct. 3. The winners will also assume community ambassadors roles. Presented by Superior Plumbing, the mistress of ceremonies was Morgan Kennedy, the 2022 Miss Cobb County’s Outstanding Teen.
At the end of the evening’s pageant competition, 22-year-old Whitney Sanders was named Miss North Georgia State Fair. Whitney is the daughter of Valerie Goodson of Marietta.
To promote scholarship and education for young women, the North Georgia State Fair Board awarded Whitney a $1,000 cash scholarship, which was presented to her by Fair Board President, Frank Wiggington. Whitney will also represent the fair at the annual Georgia/South Carolina Fairs Queen Pageant scheduled for January 2022.
Jessica Reyes-Daiman, age 18, was the first runner-up. She is the daughter of Adi and Oswaldo Reyes-Daiman of Woodstock. Jessica received a $500 cash scholarship presented by Fair Board member, Devan Seabaugh. Jordyn Veskey, age 18, was the second runner-up. She is the daughter of Deb Veskey of Woodstock. Jordyn received a $250 cash scholarship presented by Fair Board member Wade Stephens.

Megan Hertzfeldt, age 17, winner of Teen Miss North Georgia Fair. Megan is the daughter of Janice Hertzfeldt, Woodstock.
Gabrielle Brantley, age 11, winner of PreTeen Miss North Georgia Fair. Gabrielle is the daughter of Anthony and April Brantley of Kennesaw.

Lailah Murray, age 5, winner of Petite Miss North Georgia Fair. She is the daughter of Chaunte Wise of McDonough.
Olivia Leigh Evans, age 4, winner of Tiny Miss North Georgia Fair. Olivia is the daughter of Malory and Toper Evans of Marietta.
Along with their title sash. all winning queens received a tiara, trophy, flowers, and free passes to the fair through its conclusion on Oct. 3. Pageant winners will also assume community ambassadors roles.
