Upcoming American Red Cross blood drives in South Cobb and other Cobb Cities
Share

Every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer. In fact, every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood. Below is a list of upcoming American Red Cross blood drives:
The American Red Cross is currently facing a critical blood shortage on a national scale. During the summer, they received fewer donations than required, which has depleted the national blood supply and led to a reduction in the distribution of some of the most crucial blood types to hospitals. To compound this challenge, the recent Hurricane Idalia had a further impact by causing the cancellation of blood drives and a decrease in blood and platelet donations in the affected areas.
The Red Cross is calling on donors of all blood types to come forward and donate. The need is particularly pressing for platelet donors and individuals with type O blood. Your donation can make an immediate difference in ensuring that patients across the country continue to receive the critical medical care they require.
To support this cause, the following blood drives are scheduled in the South Cobb area and other parts of Cobb County:
