Support for the Family of Slain DeKalb Officer David Rose

Share

A GoFundMe has been created for the family of fallen officer David Rose, a 33-year-old DeKalb County Police officer who was killed in the line of duty on August 8, 2025, near the campuses of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Emory University.

As of now, the fund has raised $530,600, with a goal of $570,000. The fundraiser was organized to help Rose’s family cover immediate expenses and provide long-term financial support as they grieve the devastating loss.

Officer Rose had only recently graduated from the police academy in March. A proud U.S. Marine Corps veteran, he was a devoted husband and father to two young daughters, with a son on the way. Those who knew him remember not only his courage and commitment to service, but also his warmth, kindness, and dedication to his loved ones.

His passing leaves a tremendous void in both his family and the wider community he served so faithfully. The official GoFundMe has been established to support the Rose family during this devastating time. All funds raised will go directly to his loved ones, helping to ease the financial burdens they now face and allowing them to focus on healing and honoring his legacy.

Officer Rose served with integrity, compassion, and bravery. We invite you to stand with his family—just as he stood with all of us—by contributing to or sharing this campaign. Every donation, no matter the size, offers tangible support and a powerful message of solidarity.

On behalf of Mrs. Rose and the entire family, thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, and prayers during this heartbreaking time.
