Smyrna man dead after car crash in South Cobb

Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a Smyrna man.

Tamaraumiemini Austine Agbegha died after a single-vehicle collision near Whitefield Academy in South Cobb.

According to the Cobb police spokesperson,Officer Shenise Barner, Agbegha was driving a 2018 Mercedes Benz AMG E43 westbound on Buckner Road, near its intersection with Pebblebrook Road, around 9:50 p.m. on Saturday, October 7. 

His vehicle crossed into the eastbound lane and hit the concrete curb on the road’s southern shoulder. The Mercedes then continued westbound across both travel lanes before traversing the concrete curb, a concrete sidewalk and an area of grass on the northern shoulder of the road. 

The car continued through a wooden fence before colliding with a power pole and wires, and then drove through the power pole and began to rotate before the roof of the car collided with a tree.



At the scene, Agbegha was pronounced deceased by the Cobb County Medical Examiner’s Office.
