Smyrna man accused of stabbing man during fight

A Smyrna man is facing allegations of stabbing another individual during a confrontation that occurred on September 17th.
According to an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police, 29-year-old Juan Carlos Calderon is accused of brandishing a knife at the outset of the altercation and subsequently stabbing the victim in the right leg.
This incident unfolded at a mobile home located at 1101 Eastside Drive in Marietta.
Calderon was taken into custody on the same day as the incident and is currently facing charges of aggravated assault.
He was subsequently booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. Although bail was set at $20,000, Calderon remains in custody due to an immigration hold placed on him by the Department of Homeland Security, enforced by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
