An Atlanta woman, Joelle Grazulewicz, has been arrested and accused of setting multiple fires at an apartment building in Vinings. According to Cobb County jail records, 55-year-old Grazulewicz has been charged with first-degree arson and first-degree burglary.
Firefighters responded to a fire at the Westhaven at Vinings apartment last week. According to a department news release, Grazulewicz is alleged to have intentionally set several blazes inside a vacant fourth-story apartment. Upon reviewing surveillance footage from the apartment, fire officials saw Grazulewicz walking in and out of a vacant apartment building shortly before the building’s fire suppression system activated. She then returned to her own apartment a few doors away within West Haven.
Grazulewicz was dubbed a “serial arsonist” by fire officials after she admitted to setting four previous fires during the investigation.
According to jail records, Grazulewicz is being held, without bond, at the Cobb jail.
