Police investigating a double shooting in South Cobb

The Cobb County Police Department is investigating a double shooting that occurred in South Cobb. Police said two people were shot and injured at an apartment complex off Riverside Parkway in the Six Flags area of Austell early Thursday morning.
Officers say they responded to a reported shooting around 1:24 a.m. at the Premier Apartments and found Phil Ray, 23, of Austell, and Jamari Payne, 19, of Woodstock, with gunshot wounds. One of the men was located in front of one of the apartment buildings with a gunshot wound to their left foot, while the other was located in front of another building with gunshot wounds to his arm and torso.
According to police, both men were taken to a local hospital for treatment, where they remain in stable condition.
