In 2010 Matt Taibbi published an article in Rolling Stone magazine with a quote about Goldman Sachs which I’ve never forgotten because of it’s strong imagery and powerful punch. This is the quote:
The first thing you need to know about Goldman Sachs is that it’s everywhere. The world’s most powerful investment bank is a great vampire squid wrapped around the face of humanity, relentlessly jamming its blood funnel into anything that smells like money.
The quote made the article so famous that 15 years later it’s still online, and Matt has said he worries that everything he’s ever written has been subsumed by that quote.
