Ohio man indicted for shooting death in Cobb

Share

A Cincinnati, Ohio man, Joshua Emmanuel Nash, has been indicted by a Cobb grand jury for murder after being arrested for the shooting death of Dacari Early at a Cobb County apartment complex in March.

Nash, 22, was indicted for malice murder, felony murder, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.

Police accused Nash in his arrest warrant of shooting Early, 23-years old, on March 22, at The Pines at West Cobb apartment complex, near Osborne High School.

Cobb Police said officers responded shortly before 7:30 p.m. to 2751 Hammondton Road, which is the address for the Pines at West Cobb Apartments.

When officers arrived, they found a 23-year-old man who had been shot several times – lying outside of an apartment door.

Cobb Police said that person, later identified as Dacari Early, died from his injuries. Investigators say the shooting followed a verbal dispute and that Nash used a Glock 43X handgun to shoot Early several times.

Police arrested Nash the next day in Rome, Georgia. Nash remains incarcerated in the Rome Jail.

Arrest records say Nash is being charged in Floyd County with credit card theft, giving false statements to police and two counts of lying about his identity.

Both Cobb Sheriff’s Office and the Sheriff’s office in Hamilton County, Ohio have placed holds on Nash.
