New skate park opens in Powder Springs

The Powder Springs skate park celebrated its official grand opening on Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Silver Comet Linear Park, situated on Richard D. Sailors Parkway.

The event included the ceremonial opening but also thrilled the crowd with professional skateboarder demonstrations and an exhilarating best trick competition, hosted by Stratosphere Skateboard Shop. Food trucks and a bustling vendor village added to the excitement of the event.

Following the ceremony, the demonstrations, and the competition, the Powder Springs skate park opened its doors to skaters of all levels, allowing talented local skateboarders to showcase their skills.

This fantastic addition to the community was made possible through a partnership with California Skateparks, the organization responsible for constructing the skate park.
