Motorcyclist killed after accident on Delk Road in Cobb

An unidentified motorcyclist was killed after a car struck him on Delk Road. 

Around 2 p.m. Monday, the driver of the 2017 Kawasaki ZX1000 motorcycle was traveling westbound on Delk Road near the intersection of Bentley Road when a 2023 Toyota Camry exited 2700 Delk Road and turned left in front of the motorcycle.

Marietta Police said, “The motorcycle operator attempted to avoid the collision but was unsuccessful. The motorcycle collided with the Toyota causing the rider to completely lose control of the bike.” 

Both the motorcycle and the driver slid across the eastbound lanes, striking a 2013 Infiniti FX that was stopped. After being transported to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, the motorcyclist died.
