A 36-year-old Marietta woman, Scottesha Nickelle Miller, has been arrested following an alleged robbery at a BP gas station located at 559 Johnson Ferry Road in Marietta on December 27. The robbery took place around 2:33 p.m. when Miller allegedly stole three alcohol buzzballs, chips, cigars, and other items valued at approximately $50.
According to a Cobb County Police Department arrest warrant, Miller whispered to a female employee that she would shoot the male manager behind the counter before stealing the items. Police later located Miller’s silver 2009 Saturn and identified her through the store’s security footage.
When officers approached Miller’s car, she locked the doors, began recording video, and refused to exit the vehicle. Police attempted to pull her out by unlocking the back door, but during the struggle, Miller allegedly put her six-year-old daughter, who was seated in the front passenger seat, into a headlock and forced her into the driver’s seat while resisting arrest.
Miller faces several charges, including robbery intimidation, theft by shoplifting (less than $500), obstruction of law enforcement, cruelty to children (first degree), and simple battery (family violence).
Miller was arrested at 4:15 p.m. on December 27 and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. She remains in custody without bond.
