A Marietta man, Ezra Dangelo Ford, was sentenced to 10 years behind bars for charges related to a 2021 armed robbery in a Cobb County mobile home park.

The Cobb County District Attorney’s Office said Ford, 19, pleaded guilty to three felonies — armed robbery, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

His negotiated plea was accepted by Superior Court Judge Jason Marbutt, who sentenced Ford to 10 years in prison, to be followed by five years probation.

Police say they responded to a call from Lamplighter Village, a mobile home park at the corner of Windy Hill Road and Powder Springs Street, on April 12, 2021.

The victim told police that he and Ford had “decided to meet up and hang out. The robbery occurred when the victim arrived. Prosecutors said Ford stepped out of a vehicle and pointed a gun at the victim. Ford took the victim’s backpack filled with personal items and his skateboard, before leaving the scene. Ford was later picked out of a lineup by the victim, resulting in his arrest.

Assistant District Attorney Nolan Slifko prosecuted the case and negotiated the terms of the plea agreement.
