Marietta man killed in early morning crash while crossing road

A Marietta man, Henry J. Ducre, was killed as he crossed Powder Springs Road on Nov 14, 2023, at 4:51 a.m. Ducre, 58, was crossing near Curtis Lane when he was struck by a car early Tuesday morning.

A Cobb police report said Ducre was crossing Powder Springs Road outside of a crosswalk and was struck by a silver 2015 Mercedes Benz ML350, driven by Antario D. Robertson, 40, of Marietta.

Ducre was pronounced dead at the scene. Robertson, who was driving south in the left lane, was uninjured.

The accident remains under investigation. Police ask anyone with additional information to contact investigators at 770-499-3987.
