Marietta man arrested for shooting that left 1 dead, another injured

A Marietta man, Joshua Jerell Guy, was arrested and accused of shooting two men early Saturday morning, killing one and injuring the other, police said.
The shooting took place at a residence on Pat Mell Road, near Dobbins Air Reserve Base.
According to a warrant for his arrest, Guy allegedly shot and killed 33-year-old Ciprian Hernandez of Mableton between 5:20 and 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14. Hernandez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Guy is also accused of shooting 35-year-old Leonardo Wilkins of Marietta, who was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Officer Shenise Barner, a spokesperson for the Cobb County police, stated that the department’s Violent Crimes Bureau located and apprehended Guy, leading to his arrest shortly after midnight on the following Wednesday.
Guy faces charges of one count of murder and two counts of aggravated assault. He is currently being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
