In an inspiring initiative to recognize and support emerging talent, AT&T Dream in Black has unveiled the 2023 Class of Rising Future Makers, featuring 25 outstanding students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) who are already making a positive impact on their campuses and in their communities.
Among the exceptional cohort is Christian Davis, a junior from Kennesaw, majoring in Chemistry and PreDentistry at Xavier University of Louisiana. Christian aspires to become a dentist and has showcased his dedication to community impact even before completing his degree.
The Dream in Black Rising Future Makers program, spearheaded by AT&T, is designed to empower young Black talent by providing them with access to valuable networks and resources to unlock greater possibilities in their respective fields.
As part of their recognition, each of the selected students will be awarded $5,000 by AT&T 5G. Additionally, they will receive a 5G-enabled tablet with one year of AT&T service, along with other meaningful gifts. The students will have the unique opportunity to participate in professional workshops, including mentoring sessions with AT&T executives, contributing to their network growth and professional development.
The culmination of the AT&T Rising Future Makers Showcase will take place at the AT&T Headquarters in Dallas, Texas. At this event, the students will be officially welcomed into the AT&T Dream In Black family, marking the beginning of their journey as Rising Future Makers.
This initiative not only celebrates the achievements of these young leaders but also underscores AT&T’s commitment to fostering diversity, supporting education, and propelling the next generation of talent toward success.
