Kennesaw man arrested for fatally shooting 15-year-old, police say

A Kennesaw man was arrested following the tragic incident where a 15-year-old teen from Kennesaw, identified as Tayshawn Omari Dean, was fatally shot.
The Acworth police have confirmed that Lorenz McNeill, 22, is facing charges of involuntary manslaughter and reckless conduct in connection with this incident.
Law enforcement officers were dispatched to Cobblestone Landing Apartments located at 3050 Cobb Parkway in Kennesaw in response to the shooting.
Upon arrival, they discovered Dean in an unresponsive state, having sustained a gunshot wound.

Officers swiftly initiated first aid procedures, and Dean was subsequently transported by Metro EMS to Kennestone Hospital. Despite efforts to save him, Dean was declared deceased at the hospital.
McNeill has been taken into custody and is presently held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
