Kennesaw man accused of uploading child pornography

A Kennesaw man has been charged with sexual exploitation of a child after being accused of uploading child sexual abuse material through the internet.

According to a Cobb County Police Department arrest warrant, Kimmie Sutton, 67, is accused of uploading material depicting a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct between April 1, 2021 and Aug. 2, 2023 at 2859 Wood Park Trace in Kennesaw.

In March 2023, the Cobb County Police Department received three cyber tips concerning material associated with the IP address subscribed to an individual named Sutton at a specific location. Following these reports, a search warrant was issued and executed on August 2nd, resulting in the seizure of multiple electronic devices from the premises. On these devices, images of child sexual abuse material were found dating back multiple years, according to the warrant.

Sutton was arrested Aug. 12 at 10:21 a.m. and booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention on 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a child. 

According to jail records, Sutton remains in custody without bond.
