It’s a wrap for early voting, 4 million ballots cast in Georgia

As Election Day, November 5, quickly approaches, more than half of Georgia’s registered voters have already cast their ballots. Early voting concluded on Friday, with a total of 4,000,137 votes recorded through absentee and in-person early voting.
On the final day of early voting, 289,589 individuals participated in person, marking the second-highest turnout of the 18-day voting period, just behind the first day of in-person voting on October 15, which saw 313,411 voters.
Here’s a look at the top counties for in-person voting:
- Fulton County: 416,845 votes
- Gwinnett County: 299,685 votes
- Cobb County: 292,794 votes
- DeKalb County: 269,762 votes
- Cherokee County: 116,854 votes
- Forsyth County: 108,815 votes
- Henry County: 98,831 votes
- Chatham County: 91,550 votes
- Clayton County: 81,194 votes
- Hall County: 76,262 votes
Seventy counties have reported that over 50% of active voters have participated, with 25 counties exceeding 60% and two counties surpassing 70%. The counties with the highest total turnout (including absentee and in-person voting) are:
- Towns County: 72.1%
- Oconee County: 70.5%
- Dawson County: 68.7%
- Forsyth County: 68.6%
- Rabun County: 68.1%
- Fayette County: 67.7%
- Greene County: 66.1%
- Union County: 66.1%
- Schley County: 64.2%
- Pike County: 63.9%

Age Group:
- Voters aged 60-64 led in early voting turnout, with the 50-79 age group showing the highest participation overall.
- A total of 297,410 voters aged 18-24 cast their ballots before Election Day.
- Notably, 410 individuals aged 100 years or older participated in early voting.
As many voters have already made their voices heard, some polling sites may see lower turnout on Election Day, November 5.
