Cobb County Government announced that Voter Guides they issued contain incorrect polling locations for some voters

Share

Cobb County officials announced on Tuesday that some voters received incorrect voter guides in the mail due to errors in polling location listings for two precincts: Acworth 1C and Roswell 02.

For voters in the Acworth 1C precinct, the correct polling location is now the North Cobb Senior Center, located at 3900 S. Main Street, Acworth. Voters assigned to the Roswell 02 precinct should go to Mt. Zion Methodist Church, found at 1770 Johnson Ferry Road in the unincorporated Marietta area of Cobb County.

Cobb Elections Director Tate Fall expressed regret over the error, stating, “We regret this error and are working to distribute the correct information via social media, our website, and the media.” He also reassured voters that poll workers at the incorrectly listed locations would be available to direct voters to the proper polling places on Election Day, November 5. Voters are encouraged to double-check their information on the My Voter Page at mvp.sos.ga.gov before heading out to vote.

The incorrect mailings were part of Cobb County’s Strategic Plan aimed at enhancing voter education, not mandated by the state. This initiative, approved earlier this year, was designed to inform voters about early voting options, ballot measures, sample ballots, and registration details. A county spokesperson noted that approximately 4,000 voter households are associated with the affected precincts.
