Fatal Shooting at SW Atlanta apartments leads to arrest of Austell man

Police arrested an Austell man, Kadeem Frison, in connection with the deadly shooting at a southwest Atlanta apartment complex two months ago.
According to the Atlanta Police and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, Frison, 33, is accused of the fatal shooting.
Frison has been charged with murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime in the death of 49-year-old Darryl Chambers, who was shot several times in the head and torso at the Hidden Pines apartments located next to I-285, near the intersection of Boulder Park and Martin Luther King Jr. Drives.
Frison was arrested by Cobb Police on Nov. 25. He was later arrested by Atlanta police and transferred to the custody of the Fulton County Sheriff’s office on Nov. 27. According to the warrant, Frison allegedly committed the crime with other “co-conspirators.”
Records indicate that Frison had prior legal issues including drug possession charges in Cobb in July 2019 and October 2023. Additionally, he faced arrests for aggravated assault and child cruelty in August 2021.
Frison remains in custody at the Fulton County Jail.
