Cobb Schools ranks among the best employers in Georgia

For the fifth consecutive year, Forbes has recognized Cobb Schools as one of America’s premier employers.

This distinction is a rare achievement for K-12 school districts, and Cobb Schools proudly stands at the forefront among metro Atlanta districts.

Forbes highlighted the exceptional appeal of Cobb Schools, as teachers from across the country relocate and endure long commutes to become a part of Cobb’s educational community.

The fact that 99% of Cobb’s teachers choose to return year after year is a testament to Cobb’s commitment to excellence. Moreover, the District’s spring job fair attracted over 1,500 professionals eager for the opportunity to join the Cobb Schools team.

Cobb Schools’ distinguished position as one of the top 50 Best Employers in Georgia, surpasses renowned organizations such as Chick-fil-A, Coca-Cola, Georgia Southern University, Cox Enterprises, Kroger, and State Farm.

This prestigious list includes Fortune 500 giants like Apple, Home Depot, and Target, as well as esteemed educational institutions like Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, and the University of Georgia.
Cobb Schools Board Chair Brad Wheeler said, “When teachers come to Cobb, they stay. They stay because of the students and the community. They stay because we invest in our teachers with programs like Georgia’s BEST and salaries that top the metro. Our teachers stay because, in Cobb, they can focus on academics and students’ success.”
