A Marietta man, Joshua Jerell Guy, was indicted by a Cobb County grand jury for murder and aggravated assault on Thursday. This decision by the grand jury comes just over a week after his arrest for allegedly shooting two men, resulting in one fatality and the other sustaining injuries.

The incident occurred at a residence on Pat Mell Road, near Dobbins Air Reserve Base, between 5:20 and 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14. Guy is accused of fatally shooting 33-year-old Ciprian Hernandez of Mableton, who was pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, he is accused of shooting 35-year-old Leonardo Wilkins of Marietta, who was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Cobb police apprehended Guy shortly after midnight on October 18.

In the indictment, Guy faces one count of malice murder, one count of felony murder, and two counts of aggravated assault. He is also charged with aggravated battery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Guy is being held at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center without bond.
