Cobb County Public Library launches new Books by Mail service to disabled residents
Share
Great news for homebound residents of Cobb County! The Cobb County Public Library has introduced a convenient and inclusive service called Books by Mail. Now, those with physical disabilities and long-term illnesses can access the library’s collection without leaving the comfort of their homes.
With Books by Mail, library cardholders have the opportunity to browse and check out materials online. From books to other library resources, everything can be delivered right to their doorstep, free of charge. Lack of access to transportation will no longer be a barrier to enjoying the library’s vast collection.
To make the process even easier, the library will include a prepaid return label with the shipped items. Once the materials have been enjoyed, residents can simply mail them back without any additional cost.
The launch of Books by Mail is a significant step towards enhancing accessibility and ensuring that all members of the community can benefit from the library’s resources. It’s an initiative that promotes reading and learning for everyone, regardless of physical limitations or mobility challenges.
