Share

Navigating legal services can often be both expensive and bewildering. No one knows this better in Cobb County than Chief Magistrate Judge Brendan F. Murphy who has seen many individuals who are unsure of where to even begin when confronted with a legal crisis or even routine matter.

Judge Murphy has always prioritized access to justice as his foremost objective. In pursuit of this goal, he announced the second-ever Cobb Pop-up Legal Clinic, which will be held in the Mableton community of South Cobb.

Judge Murphy described the event as one that will include volunteer attorneys who will be readily available to offer FREE legal advice across a spectrum of civil law issues, including child support, landlord/tenant disputes, family law matters, small claims, probate, bankruptcy, immigration, and more.

Judge Murphy encourages attendees to bring all relevant documents so they can receive personalized answers from local attorneys on the spot.

Said Judge Murphy, “Our dedicated Magistrate Court staff will also be on hand to accept e-filings. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our invaluable partners for helping us bring this much-needed event to our community. The Pop-up Clinic is a true embodiment of ‘The People’s Court for the People!’
