Atlanta, GA – The Atlanta Neighborhood Development Partnership (ANDP), a leading nonprofit focused on expanding affordable housing and revitalizing neighborhoods in metro Atlanta, has announced the appointment of Ashani O’Mard as its new president.
O’Mard, who previously served as Senior Director of Capital Development at ANDP, officially stepped into the role on January 1, 2026. In her new capacity, she will lead efforts to grow strategic partnerships and strengthen the organization’s ability to acquire, hold, and develop land to further its mission of addressing the region’s housing affordability challenges.
With more than 20 years of experience in community development and affordable housing, O’Mard brings deep expertise in financing, development, and collaborative engagement. Before returning to ANDP, she served as Founding Executive Director of the Atlanta Affordable Housing Fund, where she helped raise significant capital to support transformative housing solutions across the region.
ANDP, established in 1991, works to expand affordable homeownership and rental opportunities, particularly for low- and moderate-income families, and has been instrumental in financing and developing thousands of affordable homes in Atlanta. The organization’s work also aligns with broader efforts by public and private partners to reinvest in historically underserved neighborhoods and address housing equity across the region.
The leadership transition comes at a pivotal time for housing and neighborhood development in Atlanta, as community advocates and city officials continue to push for comprehensive strategies to address rising housing costs and promote inclusive economic growth.
