Atlanta Man accused of shooting into a Vinings apartment

An Atlanta man was arrested for firing several rounds into a Vinings apartment, while three victims were inside the unit located at the Ivywood Park at Vinings apartment complex.
Jalon Marquis Alexander, 29, is accused of firing a 9mm pistol on Dec. 12 at 10:04 p.m. into apartment 521 at 4475 Beech Haven Trail. The apartment complex is located near the intersection of I-285 and Atlanta Road.
According to an arrest warrant by Cobb County Police, Alexander caused damages to the window, A/C unit, and building. Having been convicted in the Fulton County Superior Court on an arson charge in Sept. of 2018, it is unlawful for Alexander to possess a weapon.
Alexander is charged with three counts of aggravated assault weapons; possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime; and possession of a firearm felon in Georgia. He was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center and remains in custody without bond.
