24,000+ Pounds of Chicken Sausage Recalled for Plastic Contamination

Kayem Foods Inc. has issued a nationwide recall of approximately 24,173 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken sausage due to possible foreign material contamination—specifically white pieces of plastic found in the product. This product was sold at major retailers including Walmart across 28 states.

Affected Product:

  • Brand: All Natural Al Fresco Chicken Sausage
  • Flavor: Sweet Apple with Vermont Maple Syrup
  • Size: 11-ounce vacuum-sealed packages (4 sausages per pack)

Look For:

  • Lot Code: 179
  • Use/Freeze By Date: October 1, 2025
  • Establishment Number: P-7839 (inside USDA inspection mark)

 What You Should Do:

  • Do NOT eat the sausage if your package matches the recall details.
  • Dispose of it or return it to the store where purchased.
  • If unsure, compare your package to the sample labels provided on the USDA website or contact the company.
