Teenager Accused of Having Gun at Sprayberry High School

Teenager Cameron Mekhi Hester was arrested after being accused of possessing a .177 caliber Daisy pistol in his bookbag following a physical altercation with another student at Sprayberry High School on March 14, around 2 p.m. The firearm was reportedly discovered during an administrative search conducted by Assistant Principal Richmond Parker, as detailed in an arrest warrant from the Cobb County Police Department.

Hester, 17, faces charges for carrying weapons within a school safety zone. He was apprehended on March 22 at 7:51 p.m. and subsequently booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center. Hester has since been released on a $3,500 bond.
