PSC Commissioners at war with Georgia Power customers

As you know I am running a campaign to expose, shame, and pressure the Georgia Public Service Commission for their failure to protect customers from Georgia Power, a predatory monopoly. I have recently expanded my efforts to the Georgia Legislature.
There are two actions that I offer today and hope you will respond. First, a recap. Five big rate increases since 2023 have increased electricity bill over 30%.
Note that rates increased a great deal more than 30% for the bill to go up that much that since rates make up only about half the bill. Fees, surcharges, and taxes make up the other half. Rates and fees are hidden from you on your bill in a line item called “Current Service”.
And don’t be fooled by the zeros on your Georgia Power bill for the Plant Vogtle NCCR tariff. Plant Vogtle has not been “paid off”. That’s a nice trick Georgia Power is playing.
