Presidential Primary early voting underway in Cobb, across Georgia

Citizens in Cobb County and across Georgia have the opportunity to participate in early voting for the presidential preference primary, scheduled for March 12. The early voting period extends from February 19 to March 8, with two Saturdays of early voting on February 24 and March 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., as well as Sunday voting on March 3 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at five locations.
Voters interested in casting their ballots by mail should apply for their absentee ballots before March 1, either through CobbCounty.org/elections/voting/absentee-voting or by calling 770-528-2581.
During the early voting period, citizens can cast their ballots at a variety of locations. However, if you chose to vote on March 12, you will need to visit your assigned polling location. To verify your polling location, go to My Voter Page: mvp.sos.ga.gov.
Early voting dates and times are as follows:
- Monday, Feb. 19 — Friday, Feb. 23 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, Feb. 24 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Monday, Feb. 26 — Friday, March 1 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Saturday, March 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Sunday, March 3 from noon to 5 p.m. (select locations)
- Monday, March 4 — Friday, March 8 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

- North Cobb Senior Center, 3900 South Main St., Acworth (also Sunday voting location)
- South Cobb Community Center, 620 Lions Club Drive (also Sunday voting location)
- East Cobb Government Service Center, 4400 Lower Roswell Road (also Sunday voting location)
- West Cobb Senior Center, 4915 Dallas Highway (also Sunday voting location)
- Ron Anderson Rec Center, 3820 Macedonia Road
- Smyrna Community Center, 1250 Powder Springs St. SE ♦ Tim Lee Senior Center, 3332 Sandy Plains Road
- West Cobb Regional Library, 1750 Dennis Kemp Lane
- Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive
- Collar Park Community Center, 2625 Joe Jerkins Boulevard
Cobb is offering voting on two Saturdays – February 24 and March 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and early voting on Sunday, March 3, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at five locations:
- The Cobb Elections Main Office
- North Cobb Senior Center
- South Cobb Community Center
- East Cobb Government Service Center
- West Cobb Senior Center.
The Democratic primary ballot features:
- Incumbent President Joe Biden
- U.S. Rep. Dean Phillips
- Marianne Williamson.
The Republican primary ballot features:
- Businessman Ryan Binkley
- North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum
- Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie
- Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis
- Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley
- Former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson
- Businessman Perry Johnson
- Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy
- U.S. Sen. Tim Scott, R-South Carolina
- Air Force veteran and entrepreneur David Stuckenberg
- Former President Donald Trump.
Although all of these names are on the ballot, Burgum, Christie, DeSantis, Hutchinson, Johnson, Ramaswamy, and Scott have all dropped out of the race, with remaining candidates being Haley, Binkley, Stuckenberg, and Trump.
Voters are reminded that party registration is not required to cast a specific ballot, and they can request the ballot of their choice at the polling location or through their absentee voter application. For additional information, visit CobbCounty.org/elections.
