New location for Cobb DFCS office

The Georgia Department of Human Services’ (DHS) Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) announced that the Cobb County DFCS office is relocating to a new office space next month.

DHS said the Cobb DFCS office will open at its new location – 1090 Northchase Pkwy SE, Suite 200 in Marietta – on Tuesday, February 14 at 9 a.m. Cobb County DFCS currently sees walk-in customers Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 3 pm and will continue these hours in the new location.

Doors will close at the current location on Fairground St. on Friday, February 10.

The new office building will house staff providing economic assistance and child welfare services to more than 100,000 families in Cobb County.

The Georgia Division of Family & Children Services (DFCS) investigates reports of child abuse; finds foster and adoptive homes for abused and neglected children; issues SNAP, Medicaid and TANF; helps out-of-work parents get back on their feet; and provides numerous support services and innovative programs to help families in need.
