Neighborhood beautification grants available in Powder Springs until March 31
The City of Powder Springs, located in South Cobb, is now accepting applications for its 2023 Neighborhood Beautification Grant program.
Visual improvement projects in neighborhoods, including entrances, common spaces, and building exteriors are eligible. The grants range from $500 to $4,000. Homeowners associations, neighborhood organizations and similar neighborhood-based organizations are eligible to apply, as well as multi-family residential property owners.
The requirements include applicants providing a funding match of at least 50% of the project cost and managing all aspects of the improvements to be made.
Go to the City of Powder Springs website to download the grant application. Completed applications must be submitted by the deadline, March 31 at 5 p.m. Additional information on eligible and ineligible projects can also be obtained from the website.
Grant awards will be decided the week of April 10, and projects must be completed by June 25 to be eligible for funding. Priority will be given to projects that are highly visible to the public, contribute to improving the appearance of the community, and promote the historic and/or unique character of the area.
