MUST Summer Lunch program to feed children starts June 1

With school ending, MUST Ministries is gearing up to launch its Summer Lunch Program on June 1. Their lunch program ensures that children do not go hungry during summer. MUST’s donor-based program serves Cobb and seven other area counties.
Based in Marietta, MUST Ministries has been performing this service in the community for over 28 years. Through the years, they have provided much-needed meals to feed children through its Summer Lunch program.
MUST President & CEO Ike Reighard said, “For many children, free and reduced lunches at their schools are the only meals they receive. We try to fill that gap and keep them fed and healthy — one child, one meal at a time.”In 2022, MUST provide meals to over 6,370 children thanks to food and financial donations it receives that make the program possible. The MUST Summer Lunch meals program provides each child with five breakfasts, five lunches, drinks, and snacks in what they have termed ‘Kids’ Kits’.
MUST is asking the community for help. People can donate items through MUST’s Amazon Wish List. You can also deliver or ship items – labeled “MUST Summer Lunch – to the MUST Donation Center located at 1280 Field Parkway in Marietta. The Donation Center is open Tuesday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
