Mexico Lindo opens newest location in Sandy Springs on Roswell Road

Welcome to Mexico Lindo! If you’re a fan of delicious Mexican food and a great dining experience, head over to the newest location of this family-owned and operated restaurant in Sandy Springs. Situated on Roswell Road, Mexico Lindo will become your go-to spot for tasty Mexican dishes in metro Atlanta, offering a blend of Tex-Mex favorites alongside authentic Mexican cuisine. 

Mexico Lindo takes over the former Tijuana Joe’s location, a spot with a longstanding presence in the area. Located near the downtown area of Sandy Springs, this new restaurant is strategically positioned in a growing community that will make it convenient for both residents and visitors. Now that it is open, Mexico Lindo will continue the legacy of the previous restaurant, which served the area for 23 years.

“We’re excited to bring our award-winning fajita nachos, a fan favorite since day one, to this location, along with some of the best margaritas in town,” said Maria Cardona of Mexico Lindo. “The growing food scene in Sandy Springs, combined with the strong sense of community, makes this the perfect spot for our take on Mexican and Tex-Mex dishes.”

Mexico Lindo first opened in 1984 when members of the Echeverry family migrated from Colombia to Atlanta. The family opened their first location in Smyrna, and since then, the restaurant has expanded with another location in Cobb County. Today, the business is still family-owned, with Oscar Lopez at the helm and his son, Oscar J. Lopez, continuing the family tradition with 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry.

At Mexico Lindo, guests can enjoy a variety of dishes, including the popular birria and al pastor tacos, as well as Mexican-style paella. The new Sandy Springs location will also feature monthly specials that highlight seasonal ingredients and creative twists on classic Mexican dishes.

“We want our customers to know that we’re not just a restaurant—we’re a family that’s passionate about sharing the flavors and traditions of Mexican cuisine,” said Cardona.

In addition to its new Sandy Springs location, Mexico Lindo also has a restaurant located in Mableton on Veterans Memorial Highway.
