LiveSafe Resources, a nonprofit based in Marietta dedicated to providing safety and healing to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse, has announced new leadership. Lisa Mello, a resident of Kennesaw with over 20 years of philanthropic experience, will take on the role of CEO, while Mallori Bruning, who joined the organization in 2019, has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer.
Mello is set to join the LiveSafe Resources team on November 27, bringing with her a wealth of experience in philanthropy. This leadership change comes after the departure of the organization’s former executive director, Tracey Atwater, in June.
Mello expressed her honor and commitment to the mission, saying, “I am honored to join the LiveSafe Resources team and continue the vital work of supporting survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.”
LiveSafe Resources has been dedicated to serving the most vulnerable in Cobb County, offering shelter, transitional housing, counseling, legal advocacy, and various other services to assist survivors of domestic and sexual violence in their journey to healing with dignity. They also maintain a crisis line available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, reachable at 770-427-3390.
