A Marietta man, Treyvon Omar Jenkins, was indicted on charges after he allegedly opened fire on two Powder Springs gas stations with a military-style rifle. Three people were seriously injured and the lives of others were placed in danger as a result of his actions.
The 19-count indictment charges Jenkins, 20, with firing at a Valero station on Jan. 8 and a Shell station on March 15 using an AK-47.
Jenkins was charged with two counts of criminal attempt to commit murder and six counts of aggravated assault, as well as charges related to damage to property and possessing a weapon related to the two gas station shootings.
Investigators said that Jenkins got into an argument in March with the store manager and a bystander tried to intervene. In the January shooting, court documents say Jenkins appeared to be targeting a specific victim.
