Ashauna Perry, a Marietta High School student, has been selected to Delta Community Credit Union’s High School Apprentice Program. Perry is among 17 local high school seniors in this year’s program, a group comprised of students from nine metro Atlanta school districts.
The credit union’s High School Apprentice Program is part of the Georgia Work-Based Learning Program and allows the students to work as part-time tellers for the credit union’s various branches through the 2024-2025 school year. Perry will be serving as an apprentice at the credit union’s Marietta branch on Dallas Highway.
“Each student impressed us during the application and interview process, and we are thrilled they will support our branches in providing our members with superior value and service,” said Gary Fisher, a senior recruiter at Delta Community. “Their experiences throughout this program will provide valuable real-world skills to help jumpstart their careers.”
220 students have participated in the credit union’s work-based learning initiative since it launched in 2006. Delta Community is currently one of the top employers of students in the state’s work-based learning program.
