Marietta daycare worker arrested for bogus bomb threat

Share

Parents in Marietta were gripped by fear upon receiving news of a bomb threat at their children’s daycare, Kiddie Kollege. The Marietta Police Department received the distressing 911 call around mid-morning on Wednesday. As investigators responded to the situation, children and infants were evacuated from the facility.

Marietta Police Officer Chuck McPhilamy provided details on the incident saying law enforcement swiftly mobilized to evacuate the building, while simultaneously conducting a thorough search for any potential explosives.

Anxiety weighed heavily on the waiting parents as they remained on edge throughout the ordeal. McPhilamy later shared, “Following an extensive investigation, our officers and detectives successfully traced this threat back to one of the daycare facility’s employees.”

Alisha Moss, formerly employed at the daycare, was subsequently arrested. Court records revealed that she had fabricated a document falsely claiming the presence of a bomb on the property, attempting to attribute it to an anonymous source.

Moss now faces serious charges, including false public alarm and terroristic threats and acts, both of which are felonies.
