Mableton man accused of distributing child pornography

A Mableton man, Cody M. Smith, is accused of distributing child pornography. The 25-year-old is accused of uploading sexually explicit images of minors to a Snapchat account between June 2023 to January 2024.
Smith is also accused of uploading images to a Skype account from May 2022 to June 2023.
He is charged with four counts of distribution of child pornography; and six counts of child – sexual exploitation of a child.
Smith was arrested on January 18. According to the arrest warrant by the Cobb County Police Department, Smith also had images on his Samsung cell phone.
Smith was booked into the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, according to jail records. Smith remains in custody without bond.
