Mableton Councilman Ron Davis Appointed to National League of Cities’ Race Equity and Leadership Council

Mableton District One Councilman Ron Davis has been appointed to the National League of Cities (NLC) 2025 Race Equity and Leadership (REAL) Council. Elected to a one-year term, Davis will work alongside local elected officials from similar communities to develop and guide impactful programs. The appointment was announced by NLC President Steve Patterson, Mayor of Athens, Ohio.
“Being on this council gives Mableton a powerful voice at the national level and provides vital resources to support our city’s growth,” said Councilman Davis.
As a member of the REAL Council, Davis will collaborate with diverse local leaders to foster networking, share solutions, and create programs that can be replicated across the country.
“NLC’s REAL Council brings together local leaders to share challenges and solutions from their communities, helping to shape policies and programs that lift up cities nationwide,” said Steve Patterson. “Councilman Davis’s experience and leadership will be invaluable in ensuring that all communities have access to the resources they need.”
This year’s REAL Council leadership includes Chair Andrea Barefield, Councilmember from Waco, TX, and Vice Chairs Diana Perez, Councilmember from Vancouver, WA, and Timothy Lonergan, Vice Mayor from Oakland Park, FL.
